Ugg, beta readers.

My worst experiences with beta readers is those who up and abandon you in mid-rewrites and you are waiting and waiting for the e-mail in your inbox with your next chapter ready for your eyes to go over them and do the corrections needed.

Only to find that the beta reader has not sent you anything. You figure just wait a little longer than the week you have been waiting. Finally, three weeks have passed and you e-mail them to see what is going on with the edits to your story and when will you see the chapter come back into your inbox. After a month of not hearing from them at all, they finally respond to you stating that they got involved in with something else and you should get the next chapter in a couple of days. You are okay with that and patiently wait or continue writing more chapters to your story till the second day comes and you check your inbox to find nothing from your beta reader at all.

The two day promise didn't happen and they didn't send you the chapter when stated. You e-mail them asking for the chapter even if it was not finished being edited yet as you're firing them as your beta reader because you need a beta reader who is more responsible as in doing the editing and sending it back to you within a few days.

I had to drop several of my beta readers that I have had over the years, all because they don’t send me, my work back when they promised to return them. I would have understood if they were delayed in working on my story, only if they told me so. I would love to have a beta reader stick with me longer than nine chapters but that means finding one who you have to pay to edit the story and you don't have much money to afford paying a beta reader. Finding a beta reader for either fan fiction or original stories is like pulling teeth.

It might be for the best interest in any writer to start to learn how to beta read your own stories and bypass the beta readers themselves since most of them will not finish the job you have asked them to do or spend money on possible scammer beta readers who will do a shitty job and you end up finding more errors than anything.

I may consider doing my own beta reading myself on my stories and not contend with having beta readers at all.

Stumped on names.

I'm starting work on another fantasy/supernatural story and I am having a very hard time figuring out what names to give to four characters, I've named the others but these four characters are giving me a very hard time.

I have three noble men and a noblewoman to name. I'm looking at Japanese names for all four of them. I may go Chinese with the males and Japanese with the woman since the land in which the three noblemen live in is China, so it might be a good idea to look at Chinese names and Japanese name for the noblewoman.

Does anyone have any ideas for names for them?

Oreo Buster sundae

I just created this sundae recipe so it will take time for me to get photos and maybe a video of this being put together.

I have always loved Oreo cookies and ice cream so I decided to figure out how to make a sundae with all my favorite ingrediants for an ice cream sundae.

What you need is:
Your favorite ice cream, mine is French vanilla.
One bag of oreo cookies crushed to a fine crushed appearance.
Two bananas sliced.
Hot fudge (your favorite brand - mine is Hershey's Hot fudge)
Whip cream (home-made or store bought)
Chopped nuts(peanuts perferred)
Drinking glass, no bowl.

In the drinking glass, pour a nice helping of hot fudge into the bottom, two teaspoons of crushed oreo cookie crumbs, five slices of banana and then one scoop of ice cream, repeat twice. Top it off with more hot fudge, oreo cookie crumbs and whip cream and the crushed nuts.

Long time in blogging.

I have been busy doing other things than blogging about what's going on in my life here and on LiveJournal.
I have to get serious about the eating plan again. I have regained almost all of the weight I had lost. I'm back to being about 230 pounds. Only 14 more to go and I would have regained ALL OF THE WEIGHT that I had lost and I have to start all over again.
The thing was, that my achillies tendon started to hurt to where I was rubbing lotion on it to sooth the pain but the pain did not go away like it should have. I spent about nine months not working out totally amd during that time, I should have cut back on how much I was eating and I fell off the wagon and started to eat the bad food again.
Now I am fighting to get more clothes that can fit my growing fatness again. But mom and dad don't have money to spend on getting me clothes as well they would throw a fit if I spent money to buy clothes since they told me that the money I make from the notes are for my bloody nest egg. So what, you never told me that when I first got the bloody land notes! If that was the case, why did you guys agree to let me have a bloody checking account and then a Credit Card? If you didn't want me to spend the money.
Anyways, it is MY MONEY! Not your money! So what if I end up being broke? I never fucking complained about being broke! Craig is the bloody one who complains about being broke and you two bloody give him money instead of chewing him out for not getting a bloody job!
I'm working hard at learning how to drive so I can get my license so I can bloody well get a job so I can use that money for my personal stuff instead of spending the so called nest egg for my funds!
None of you really want to go driving everyday and when we do go driving, it is directly to the store and back AGAIN, with no stops on the way.
I have had 42 days of driving not every single day but every other or a month later lessons. How many days did you drive with your folks before you took the test? Oh that's right, you didn't! You went right into the driving test and passed.
I have to be driving so I can learn what to do on the roads and yet here we are on a Saturday at home not driving anywhere.
I really hate not being able to drive and my older brother isn't interested in driving out anywhere either.
